So facebook has kind of been band from the missionaries for a while but is now being re opened to select few, and this week the third person We reached out to. And. Within 20 minuets of first contact we had a video call set up. Her name is Jesse and she is awesome! She is in a tuff situation right now but, is making it work. On the video call we taught her the Restoration (awkwardly, its still a work in progress) and she wants to come to church and messages us daily about it... however she couldn't come last week because she was already signed up to volunteer
in the kids section at her church, but she is coming to stake conference next week!!
Christmas was crazy fun, we had breakfast and games at the Kisors in the morning, we played Jenga with cereal boxes and when you pulled out a box you got to keep it... We don't have to buy cerial for a good while...
After we went to the claunches and shared a Christmas message for them. We were gonna play games but there kids flight got delayed so they got in at 4 am and then they had to pick them up at the air port... everyone was super tired there, but the message was still good.
Then the Loosle's have a pizza tradition, every year after presents they make like 4 pizzas with all sorts of toppings it is delicious. We also challenged their kids to a tower building competition with these weird magnetic blocks they got for Christmas it was so much fun being a kid again.
Then off to the cortez for some of there "famous" banana bread hahaha. They are the best.
Finally dinner with the Roylances is always a good way to go... I have to ask her to send me recipes when i go home... It was actually supper cool, they have a very anti social daughter who they worry about but on Christmas dinner she was so happy with the day that she finally had a full conversation with me. When she has never talked to anyone not her parents! We were all super excited.
We have some other new prospects but there still a work in progress. Holidays are a weird time to be a missionary
Hope you'll had a good Christmas and a Happy New year.
love,
Elder Jarvis
