Hey y'all this week was good, it's nice being Elder Humphries companion out here. He always keeps things going.
Bare the storm for the miracle....
On Sunday it just started down pouring out of no where. We were taking cover under a tree trying to reschedule events of the night because of the storm, when a lady who lived in a house across the street calls us out to come inside. She first question if we were stupid or something, afterwards her her boyfriend and three teenage daughters had a good conversation. Hopefully we will be able to teach them, were gonna make cookies to say thanks for their help this week. The only worry is the daughters were debating who would date who out of us pared with them... hey maybe that's our ticket back for a return appointment...
President Welch my mission president in his departing days had some good laugh
with me... I got hit by tornadoes in Dayton and now we have had two different days of tornado warnings in our area, despite how big our area is we were outside in the heaviest part of the storm both times...

My mission president just joked, "your really tearing it up out there" and " Satan is literally chasing you around" luckly no tornado touched down this time around. Just lots of water.
Right now we are working through a change in our teaching pool... I don't like dealing with people who aren't interested... it's going well so far we had a lot of great finding opportunities because of it. Hopefully we have people progressing soon...
We met a guy named Roy, after talking for about he confessed I'm just waiting to die but I do have to say I have had many preachers visit me. Many different older missionaries try to get me to join their church. You are younger then all of then and yet you have it so much better together then they do. And he just kept praising us. It felt good and then we tried to get him to thank God and he was just fixated on how young we were... hopefully we being different from anyone else will motivate him to do more than anyone else could.
We also had our second visit with Bryan. It was a good visit, I didn't do anything. He pretty much just told us for an hour how much he loved the book of mormon and asked clarification questions... God does the work! Love y'all
Elder Jarvis
P.s. I'll meet my new mission president next week, fresh from provo Utah.
