About last week...

So... apparently my Email from last week didn't send... so here it is....

Elder Brakey is a good strong foot ball player, we have like nothing in common as far as interests... however we both desire to serve God and wow have we seen miracles every day.

Not only that we laugh our heads off all the time, I have laughed more with him in 24hours then the whole six months I spent in lakeside park. He is an amazing elder, we are excited for this transfer.

One miracle we had is on Tuesday night we got a referral we run to the door excited knocked... no answer.. knocked...no answer... try one last time... no answer. As we are leaving I realize we are right by a guy named Thomas's house, I felt strongly to go visit him. We go over he barely speaks English but we give him s book of mormon in swahili and invite him to read it. He was extremely happy to have more of Gods word. A few days latter on Sunday he plans to go to church but he missed the bus... so he decided to walk 5 miles with a cain to come to church and see how this Unique message is demonstrated. It was a shock for us and it was a really humbling experience for me. I love Thomas, he has not had the easiest life. But is this message of the restoration has already blessed his life.

Another miracles, we received a referral while back. But we tried and tried to contact him with no luck. But some how we ended up at his complex one more time. Apparently with in the last year when the referral was given he was stabbed and robbed. Imprisoned for 6 months and homeless for 4 more. However now, he is out and he read the Bible while incarcerated and is not trying to turn his life around. We taught him the restoration and the spirit was so strong that he was the one who asked us if we felt what he felt. I love that man and am excited to work more with him.
