this week was crazy, we had so much going on. elder Jasinski went to the temple so i got to go on an exchange with elder Taylor another district leader. we had the trunk or treat. special one on one training, family history conference, and stake priesthood conference. it was supper crazy... some highlights:
our bishop got up in priesthood session. and as he got up there he invited everyone to boo him. and he proceeded to boo him self until the booing was remarkable loud. then a silence fell in the room as he told a story from when he played foot ball. his team was terrible, but "he felt really good when he got booed because if they got booed it meant that there opponents saw them as an tough competitor. so just because Satan is helping you to second guess your every action. Doesn't mean its the gospel is false it means he knows he has to focus on you if he as any chance of winning." Please i plead with you don"t give up
on a different note i wish to give you an acronym you wont forget. and i apologize now for the faint in heart.
in one of the many meetings we had this week i was reminded of Sara age 12 and Ben age 11 two kids i took care of when i volunteered at the elementary school. during a little break out session Ben decided to get Sara's attention by pulling her long brown hair. Ben along with everyone else in the room instantly regretted his decision, as Sara gave great shrieks of pain and anger.
the acronym i wish to ingrain in your brain is P.O.O: Pull Only Once
like Ben we all have pulled Sara's hair. we all have sinned and our sins have gravely effected those around us wither it has been dulling our senses to not hearing the promptings of the spirit to help them or are actions have physically harmed them.
now its time to do it only once please i beg of you stop your sins stop your crimes so that you can receive greater Gods many miracles which he stands at the door waiting to pour out upon you.
on a happier note. it was crazy at the trunk or treat the Brother Doll invited Sergio and his wife, they are from Spain, and are here for the past four years to teach Spanish and have 1 year left before they go back home. i was able to relate to them my experience with Spain in the tourist trip i took a long time ago. in doing so i related how prevalent the gospel is in Spain and all over the world. they got pulled out the door so i was unable to get contact information but they promised they would come to the missionary musical fireside next Sunday. i hope they come, they are supper prepared for the gospel.
another miracle was marry has been praying about when she would like to be baptized but we kept in so good contact with her that she was too excited to let us know about her choosing a date that she couldn't wait she texted it to us! i am supper Excited!!!!! however she chose january first... we will see if we can help her move that up because she is so ready. but if not she still wants to be baptized!!!
i still am terrible at taking pictures... ill work on it this week...
love yall
