this week was fantastic! after a week of Trial the miracles have Returned!
we had so much fun this week i don't even know where to start....
i got to go on an exchange with Elder Maeser, one of the few other missionaries that came from the Columbus mission with me. He is from linden Utah! it was crazy because i was able to connect with him on a level i never have been able too. he knew about anything and everything we talked about. and because we connected so well it was as if the Spirit voice louder then ever.
we contacted so many people giving away 3 books or Mormon and getting about 8 different return appointments. i cant write about all of them but one of the better contacts was Eric! Eric is the best person to exist, he had a rough life and that has put him in some situations that are unnecessarily bad... however he has decided to leave it all behind and is looking for whats true. we asked to give him a card as he was moping(dont know if that how you spell it) on the street he looked up and simply asked do you help people find Christ... i have been going to a lot of churches trying to start again but none of them seem to really care for god or have the fullness of the truth, i have a feeling you have it
me and elder maeser quickly taught him about the book of Mormon before our ride showed up. and set up a return appointment... we found him again latter that night and he had been reading the book ever since we left him, he read the first 40 pages. i am supper excited to be working with him!
another person was Derek, i have been working with him for a while and i was getting to the point of moving on, however Elder Maeser served in the town Derek grew up and was able to connect with him and he open up to why he hadn't acted yet, it was really powerful lesson.
Derek being a very stubborn man, said he would not pray, but the spirit was so strong that as i invited him again he agreed, and he said the closing prayer. the spirit was almost tangible. after the prayer he remarked i don't know how i can go another day without a prayer. i hope all of you reading this have the same desire.
on Sunday we had the primary program! and our investigator marry was brought to tears! she told us once she is a member she cant wait to see her kids sing i am a child of god!
i love the gospel, i love being a missionarie, sadly i have to move onto other tasks
the gospel is true, we have a heavenly father who loves us and cares to answer every pray as long as we are willing to follow him. and from my experiences on a mission i cant understand how you would ever not want to follow him. "he is the life and light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness"(alma 38:9) in him you can and will find new life a newness of hope, the brings the greatest joy. i invite all of you to make the necessary changes to find a higher level obedience that you may receive the reward.
love yall
