I love service!!!
This week we sadly helped the shanks move (part member family) but the ward sent so manynpeople over to help that her husband after talking with us has Decided to take the lessons!!! She has been praying that he will take the lessons since there 6 year old was born and now he is! He is so ready for the gospel. Too bad he moved to west Virginia... i cant go to his baptism. :( bur im ao happy for him.
Summer seme, ester has stsrted and the new members are the best, a lot of them served missions and will go out with us any spare second we can.... the work in athens is really rocketing forward!
Brother Edwards, went with us too logan, a guy we met when we helped weed his gaurden earlier that week. And at the end of a restoration lesson brother Edwards bore the sweetest tesrimony of the gospel me and elder norris were almost in tears.... but logan struggles a little bit with the idea that his baptism doesnt count...
On thursday Ranae was out weeding and i ran up to and said hi and just started weeding. She just broke down with how greatful she was for our help. She is our areas new mom... she has fed us twice since. She loves who we are and is weirded out thwt we cant talk to our familys, so ahe is filling in the role... she is awesome! However she is a little reluctant to the gospel because of her husband, but she will bw baptized!
Last night me and elder norris offered servicd to tessa a girl starting her own buisness, and she was so skeptical of what are purpose was, we talked for an hour and a half and are going back tonight to teach her more, she works nocking doors for some companie so she loves to share fun stories and give ou loads of refferals! I mean i have never gotten so many refferals. She will litterally send us to anyone who has answered the door to her, she is awesome. And she needs what we share, her grandfather just passed away and is extreemly happy to see us. However she does want tips on how to not get yelled at, we all just lauphed.
Last thursday night it was like god handing us a silver platter full of food. We knocked one street, and almost every one opened the door and talked to us! It was so much, we have like 8 return lessons thursday night... its gonna be a crazy night. Too bad i wont be there for it... im getting transfered to Huber Heights... in the Dayton East stake... on july first i will be in the Cincinnati mission....
Anyway Azaday is my favorit! I found her on exchanges a few weeks ago with elder brumfield. She was going on vacation and said she would come to church once she gets back. And she did and she absolutely loved it. The relief society president made a special objective to be her friend. And Azadeh couldnt stop talking about how much she loves the ward... ahe has a lot to learn before she goes gets anywhere... but she is well on her way... and her husband is coming with her next time! I am so excited for them!
We were challenged to be creative and for one whole week dont go tracking... it was a hard idea at first because, um thats all we do in this area... then elder norris had an idea to pull out a white board... we spent 4 hours having people write about their families it was probably one of the funest activities i have done on my mission.... but i will be sunburnt for a good while now lol
Love yall
-Elder Jarvis
