Back to the South Side..Back to the Sticks!

So i am back in the south, i though chillicothe was the most south i would ever go on my mission, i was wrong... i am in athens now which there is litterally only one area in my mission thst could be any lower then where i am now... and i went there on exchanges a while back( jackson)... i must really be needed in he south for some reason.

My new comp is Elder Carter, its funny because we litterally just switched companions, (his companion went to Xenia, and i replaced him in Xenia). Elder Carter is the biggest goon i have met on my mission. He is a hard core rockstar back home, like in a band and all that. Its really, allot of people have gatars out here and we will go in the house, he will ask to if he can play it then we will sing a hymm for them to invite the spirit. However he can play a accustic gatar he misses his electric gatar... he comes from a very musical family, all of his family can sing and is in a band... his moms in orcestra, his dads in a bluegrass band, his sister and brother are in choir. I have never heard of such a musically gifted family... and of course he is from... ... ... ... ... bountiful utah. Another utah boy out in ohio...
Elder carter has a strong testimony we are gonna have/having alot of fun down  here.

Last transfer they didnt think either one of them were moving so they signed up to sing a duet on sunday, well we did... we sang if the savior stood be side me, i think it sounded like an angle(elder carter and a kids rattle(me) but thats my opinion... people said we soundes good, but they always say that....

its funny to be down here because about six months ago there was a bishop Jarvis who moved to utah.... the Jarvis title is very popular down here.

I got to daryl our investigstors b day party and it was a blast. It was really cool to see out of a small ward about 30 members (about half the ward) went to his birthday party to support him...
Daryl loves church, but just says he is not ready to be baptized, but he acts just like a member...

This athens area has lots of potential investigators we just need to give it a little shove in the right direction...

The first investigator i taught down here is Alex, he is awesome... he is basically a mormon, he just has the problem that he thinks we pray to a different jesus, because we dont believe in the trinity( niether does he but yet he says the way he believes is differnt then the way he does.... basically he believes in three separet beings that are one god). But he has sincer love for what we do and i have never felt so much love from someone who tells us we are satans followers... it is kinda funny to think about it..
He is utterly worried for oursalvation, as we are for his.

We were teaching a eternigstor who just has anti questions, pulling apart every piece he can to say we are falsw because he doesnt want to need to be baptized again, even though he told us our messafge is true.. well during the lesson in an appartment walkway, tim walks upmand ask questions. And me and elder carter separated to teach lessons and i taught tim the restoration as he told me how much his preacher tells him he cant meet with and how much he loves our message. It was crazy but really fun, i cant wait till he is baptized.

We had some really heart felt lesson with less actives this week,
First bro Davidson,  we schedule the appoint ment and he first opens the door saying i hope you know i never want to step in that church again, and it ended with him in tears sayingni cant wait to see you all at church this sunday. He had some merital problems and got separated and since has felt alone, we spent an hour talking about how much his heavenly father loves him. The spirit was so strong...
Second and last we taught brother Steinmetz he had started coming back to church, but wasnt having the desire to stay going so he asked us to come over and help him( it was miracle, things like this never happen). We enter the house and it was just extreemly awkward for first 20 minuets then his grandson walks in and stsrts asking questions and he realized the part missing in his life is that he has never had family home evening. We taught his grandson and then we made a plan to attemp getting his son to take the lessons. We also did a few object lessons there, it was just so powerfull and spirit led i cant say i remember all of what was said, bur i remeber what i felt.

All the woek i did back home in will's field is paying off, i am back at it. We have a part member family we go and cut wood for two hours and then teach him and he knows more about the gospel then i do its crazy. Like he has read all of the teachings of the presidents, he just doesnt want to be baptized until he can quit swaring it is insane..

Athens is weird
We love object lessons
I am a missionary
