warning, this message is scattered(per
Zach)..
It is amazing in the mtc. Very hard and
very busy but just amazing. i taught my first "investigator" (teacher
pretend as investigator) the second there. it is like getting hit by a truck
and soaking dwelling in the lingering effects afterwards. but its good for you.
i am not sure what to say. time just flies bye you always have something to do,
no need for instagram or anything else. i have two classes i take each 2-4
hours depending on the day. then devotionals personal study, companion study,
gym time, so so much i need to do, but it is so much fun!!! as I am in a tablet
mission i can read emails any day, also p day is on Tuesdays while I’m in the
mtc.
so lets look at what happened this week.
first day. was just a montage of
throwing people at us, your introduced to one missionary out of the car, then
you walk and see like 8 different people to gather all your stuff.
Rest of the day. moving from class to
class only really dropping my suit cases in the room not unpacking at
all. then off to work, i have two teachers, sister breighthaupt(bright-hop) and
brother alley, we have the sister in the mornings and and the brother in the
afternoon and they are hilarious,
sister B "so your neighbor recommended
us to come over and visit can we come in, how are you?... so how do you know
your neighbor" lets just say our teachers like your bishop and everyone
you meet are still learning...
other things we play sand volley ball
about every day with my whole district. the district includes ten children of
god all from Utah but elder winn he is from idaho... it doesn’t really feel
like i left home, i see the mountains everyday, everyone has the utan accent.
though there are some really fun people like elder keitie and elder sau who are
these big Hawaiian and Samoan. elder keitie took a picture with us and our
roomates for his last day and his arm span raps around all for of us (pic to be
sent). these elders are just giant teddy bears and thier hilarious, if only you
could meet them.
lets see, so elder erickson is my companion
from the distant land of logan, he is a spiritual giant. then there’s elder
winn and elder smith in our room. elder winn is the idaho elder who got called
to be the district leader, he has the voice on an angle, and is the nicest guy
you would ever meet, he is so loving no matter what you do. then elder smith is
like the holy ghost kind of of quiet yet, only speaks the pure truth. elder
smith is also an incredible piano player. i mean he just sits down and the
whole atmosphere of the room changes. but don't doubt him, if he wants to roast
you he will shred you too pieces.
oh and the rest of our district includes
4 sisters and two elders. now these two elders aren't very spiritual but if you
need a stress relief just spend five seconds with them and theyll get you two laugh,
they went to take showers on Sunday only
taking the towel and they locked themselves out of their room. only with a
towel. ( i wanted to take pictures but it would be inappropriate. still funny
though. what else? sister shields stole elder erickson and elder smiths elder
card for how good she is in basket ball and spiking in volley ball.
write me your awesome, always remember
1st nephi 11 17 and i said unto him: i know that he loved his children;
nevertheless, i do not know the meaning of all things.
and read the book of mormon. it is the
truths of what we teach. also smile i like you better when your smiling.
enjoy life
-elder jarvis
