We struggle a little bit this week as we had a few people decide to stop meeting with us. And a few others moving out so our teaching pool dropped dramatically. But that Just gives more opportunity to find those who are prepared.
As a zone(basically the missionaries in a stake) we did a zone contacting day to end the transfer where we all dedicated last Saturday to just finding and if possible we moved all appointments to another day. As a district we set a goal to talk to 10 people each companionship (you dont see many people in the sticks) but we consecrated ourselves to that go and me and Elder Humphries alone found 26 people. It was a miracle day.
Miracles: (biggest miracle last)
We were biking down a main road right as Rebecca comes put of the little store to take a brake I stop and watched my companion goes a mile down the street then out of sight.(he didn't see her). We talked for a bit and it turned out she Is the "Hot sister" of Cory a guy we used to teach, she would always see us over but because she works nights and Cory worked days we would always meet when she was passing through. She has a lot of questions about God I am Excited to keep working with her.
Due to short time I'll only share one more.
This miracle was huge for us.
As its contacting day we wanted to try a trailer park we have never been too
Right as we walk up a young teen girl the oldest of a group yells hello. We reply and gave her a pamphlet but she replys I got baptized and I'm saved we reply and. She frustrated quickly ends the conversation and we move on... 5 minutes later we see her reading the pamphlet 10 minutes later she is teaching her siblings and friends about it. Then she walks up to us as we are talking to someone on the door step and says I read it. So we quickly handed her another one and she sat on the porch and started reading it, no one ever does that. You could see as we talked with her a light enter her eyes and she asked for everything we had. Later on her caretaker(her uncle who is basically her father) comes out as we are teaching this group of 8 persistent kids on the street. We apologize for not seeking there permission and ask for forgiveness and ask if we can do an object lesson with him and the kids. A little hesitant he took us to his house and the kids loved the message. But it gets better the mom comes out and a question that has troubled her for years is why dont we have prophets today like before. However the father denied the spirit he felt and will not meet with us anymore because he has his church however, because the daughter is not his the mom Is still gonna allow us to work with her. We hope everything goes well and his heart is softened but Casey and heather (the mom) are awesome.
